He has developed over 40 commercial applications in the healthcare field, and 50 vertical EDI applications. His software has been installed and used in 18 of the world's time zones, including 35 automotive suppliers, over 100 hospitals, and 500 occupational therapy clinics. He developed the VariForm database - a metadata-based self-modifying database and presentation system, in 1992-1994, when most people didn't even know what metadata was. Rich is the Founder of VariSearch, Webmaster of this site, and developed the software for the search engine, the various web crawlers for this site, as well as the TrEx traffic exchange.
